Discoveroo Windmill Stackeroo Product Review and Giveaway

Discoveroo is an Australian company with a mission to encourage creative play through beautiful, affordable, and sustainable wooden toys. We've found that parents are more interested in wooden toys and less interested in plastic and electronic toys. Although usually cheaper, plastic and electronic toys have limited play value and often break quickly. Furthermore, they limit the amount of Creative Play that is necessary to develop a child's mind during critical windows of accelerated development in early childhood. These critical times are windows of opportunity for parents and educators to provide the best possible learning environment. Discoveroo products are designed to encourage more Creative Play; they stir up the imagination with outcomes that are not predetermined, which gives a child the opportunity to explore possibilities and develop their mind. Our toys are Natural and Simple because, for young children, seeing how a toy works is an important part of understanding the world. The natural materials also stimulate the senses in a way that processed materials cannot.

We had the opportunity to review 3 wonderful products from Discoveroo. I will do each review in a seperate post as the company would like to offer a seperate giveaway for each.

My baby girl who is 15 months old helped with this review.

Here is info provided from the site about the actual product.

Classic stacking toys can be a little bored-to-tears fit-inducing and no one wants that. No one.

Entertain the little one with a stackeroo that turns into a windmill! That's colour, shape and motion you're teaching and manual dexterity you're helping to develop with one simple, tidy toy.

For children, seeing how a toy works is an important part of understanding the world around them.

Approximately 7 x 4.

Made of plantation tea wood.

Recommended for ages 18 months and up.

My baby girl absolutely loves this wonderful product. She is always pulling it from her play area so she can play with it. She loves taking each piece off and stacking them back up. I love that there is no right or wrong way to do this. It allows her to use her imagination and also builds her fine motorskills too. I homeschool all of my children, and this is a great product that allows her to take part in our school day.

There are a total of 6 rings all painted a different bright color such as, green, yellow, orange, red, pink and purple. Then at the top is a wooden piece that has a spinner on it that allows it to look like a windmill. It spins around very easily and she loves to spin it. Sometimes she will just carry this piece by itself and spin it over and over. The base is also wooden with a wooden pole that sticks up in the middle. I absolutely love that the pole is attached to the base with an elastic type tie. This allows the pole to bend from side to side without being stationary.

?

Each round block that makes up the body of the windmill has 2 holes in it. You can stack them all from the center hole to make a perfect windmill or use both holes to make it a funky looking windmill. (that is what my kids call it)...LOL

As you can tell by the pictures that my baby girl really gets into playing with it.

I delayed each of the 3 reviews a bit. I am always cautious about products made of wood. I am worried they will chip etc. They have been playing with each of their toys for a few weeks now and I have to say I am really impressed. Their hasn't been one chip of wood or paint. Now let me tell you that they have played with each a ton of times and the pieces have been dropped on the tile and everything. They still look brand new. Just look at the pics as I took them not long before posting this review. You can tell how they still look like they are brand new.

They have also been kind enough to offer a giveaway to our USA residents on this item. Please look below for the Rafflecopter from to enter.
